Nailify Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AZ Dezigns ("AZ Dezigns," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Nailify iOS app ("Nailify," the "App"). By using Nailify, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
Nailify uses "Sign in with Apple" to create your account. When you sign in, we receive and store your email address, first and last name (if you choose to share them with Apple), and a unique account identifier. This information is processed by our authentication provider, Clerk, and a corresponding account record is stored in our database.
Photos you take or select
Nailify asks for access to your camera and photo library so you can capture or choose a photo of your hand or nails for two features:
- Nail Health Scan — your photo is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI for AI analysis. The photo itself is not stored on our servers; only the resulting analysis (e.g. recommended nail length and shape, cuticle health, hydration, strength and staining assessments, recommended styles, colors and care products, and notes) is saved to your account so you can view your scan history.
- Nail Try-On — your photo is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI, which generates an edited image showing a nail style applied to your photo. The AI-generated result image is stored securely so it can be shown back to you; if you choose to save a look, its details (style, color, shape, length, finish, and image location) are stored with your account.
Photos are compressed on your device before upload, which removes embedded location (GPS) metadata. We do not access your photo library or camera roll except when you actively choose a photo within the app.
Subscription information
Nailify offers subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We use Superwall to manage subscription paywalls, and Superwall receives your account identifier along with purchase and paywall-interaction events so that your subscription status can be kept in sync with your account.
Technical information
Our backend uses a rate-limiting service (Upstash Redis) to protect the App from abuse. Requests are keyed to your account where possible; if no account is available, your IP address may be used for this limited technical purpose. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
What we do not collect
Nailify does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, microphone or audio data, or advertising identifiers, and we do not send push notifications.

3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the following service providers, each of which processes information on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy policy and terms:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information, nail health scan results, and saved looks for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App; doing so permanently deletes your scan history and saved looks, removes associated images from storage where identifiable, and deletes your account record from our database and from our authentication provider. Some residual data may be retained by our service providers (for example, OpenAI's standard API data-retention window, or backups) for a limited period as governed by their own policies.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: you can view your scan history and saved looks within the App.
- Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and associated data from the App's account settings.
- Camera and photo access: you can control camera and photo library permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Contact us: for any other request regarding your data, contact us using the details below.
6. Children's Privacy
Nailify is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted network connections and access-controlled infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Nailify after a change means you accept the updated policy.
